Bin Column...
Are you going to continue to be a muslim even though you dont have to?
Your 1st call is to the bank, tell then whats what.
My advice is to sell up, only way itll get done and dusted.
Im guessing you dont need a family home now anyway, so without an asset to sue or borrow against she cant come back for more.
Set up a company, buy an apartment in the conpanoes name and she wont be able to touch it.

Sold - quite right, but that's a recent development. You need a vigorous cull. This must be the first generation in human history that is happy to live a life of ease and pass the bill to its children and grandchildren to pay. I find it morally repugnant, but that is the mindset of contemporary progressives.

Nurse,
Haven't you voted for one of these feckless Governments considering all 3 main parties, albeit one in a reduced capacity for 5 years, have had a crack of the whip since 97?

Since Blair, certainly.
Regarding the 'genocide' committed against your brethren, would that be the 1 million extra public sector workers added to the payroll under Labour? That 'genocide'?

Not that this will help Fifth, but reading all this the conclusion is; don't shack up with a woman who can have a claim to your assets and certainly don't marry one!!

Sold, the country will be bankrupt. Your 'terms and conditions' won't matter a jot. There simply won't be the money to pay you.

Depends if you have frozen it or not... our terms and conditions changed a couple of years ago and we was given the option to freeze it up to that point... which for me was a no brainer... got it written in stone that part of me pension... the bit afterwards?? Not worth the pot to piss in...

Anybody who believes their gold plated public sector pension is safe, and they'll get what they were promised is rather foolish, imo. When this country goes belly-up due to obscene borrowing, spending and welfare for an exploding population, do you really think we'll be able to afford to pay out those pensions?

My solicitor also said something interesting about wives going back for "more" after a "final" settlement... she (solicitor) says in her experience when wives go back for "more", and it is almost always wives, that the kids from any marriage see it as really unfair and often turn against the mum. No legal significance but it's an interesting observation.

As others have said, there is no such thing as a full and final settlement. In theory you can go back at any time to court though my solicitor says that what happened in the court case nurse is referring to is highly unusual and will most likely be successfully appealed, if he chooses to appeal.
As for pension, my Mrs has a gold plated public sector pension and I've got a mickey mouse private pension so I actually could go after HER pension!! I'm not intending to do so but it's good leverage.

There was a case in the media earlier this week. A wife of a rich bloke was given a very decent and generous setllement in their divorce. Apparently the ex husband wasn't a dick about it and behaved very well. Fast forward some years, and the dozy cow made really dodgy investment decisions and ploughed through the lot. Now she's going after her ex for more money.
